Atlanta Natural Hair Care Professional (ANHC Pro) Lunch

Atlanta Natural Hair Care is Georgia's Resource for Natural Hair Care. Its online social network consists of people with a variety of natural hair experiences.

ANHC Pro is their group of professional stylists.  Through professional services including education, marketing, and advocacy Atlanta Natural Hair Care, Inc. helps foster the growth and professionalism of Atlanta's natural hair care industry. ~ atlanta-hair.ning.com

Every 3rd Sunday they meet for lunch and learn about ideas, products, services, issues, and events that are relevant to the natural hair care.  

As Social Media Partner for ANHC I get the unique opportunity to attend and listen in on these sessions. Atlanta Natural Hair Care is doing wonderful things in the natural hair community in Georgia and I am pleased to be able to bring them to you.  

April's installment of ANHC's Pro Lunch Series focused on the business basics of natural hair care.  Educator and Salon Owner, Nekesa J. Smith, spoke to the attendees about how to use their skills to expand into other areas of the hair care industry.  

Not only has Nekesa created her own line of products but she also has a non profit organization and is writing a book among other things.

A light lunch was served as members listened and also asked question.

World's Top Natural Hair model, Jessica Williams, was in attendance to talk to us about her duties and to give away 2 tickets to Taliah Waajid's World Natural Hair Health & Beauty Show.  

ANHC Pro Lunch ended with face to face networking.

World Natural Hair Show ~ Spring 2012

I LOVE Natural Hair Events.  There.  I said it!  I attended the 15th Annual World Natural Hair Health and Beauty Show presented by Taliah Waajid on Sunday (29th) .  I am telling you, every year this show gets better and better.  The weather was just perfect and so was the venue (Georgia International Convention Center). This bi annual event brings together the BEST in natural hair styles, fashion, health, etc. and a bevvy of celebrities from the local natural hair community plus SO much more.  I had an amazing time as always.

World Natural Hair Show 2011 ~ Atlanta Events!

Being a Natural that lives in Atlanta has its advantages!  This hasn't been confirmed but I would say that Atlanta is the #1 hot spot for all things Natural Hair related.  We are the home of the World Natural Hair Health and Beauty Show after all.  Since 1995 this venue has brought professionals and consumers together to exchange and learn about Natural Hair care.  They will continue this tradition here in Atlanta, April 30th - May 1st 2011 and I cannot wait!

Following the tradition set forth last year, I will also be attending the 2nd annual Pre Hair Show Party!!  The Lovely Ladies of Gorgeous Atlanta Naturals (Organizers ~ Curly Girl Lexi of Curls, Coils and Kinks, MahoganyBella of MahoganyKnots.com, & Adrienne Brown of Me, My Hair and the City) will be hosting a another fantasmic event.  This years theme: Curly Girls Rock!  This is an event that you DO NOT want to miss!

Sage NaturalCeuticals is 3 years old!!

To celebrate, the owner Cindy Prim, will be hosting a three day event:

Thursday, March 24th 6pm - 8pm there will be a meet and greet with Nicha, creator of Ohm Body. Friday, March 25th, John Master's will be on-site 

Sunday March 27th, Lysandra of Darcy's Botanials & her stylist will be onsite.

Well, I'd love to stay and blog longer... but i have to go and get ready!  I have to stop by Sage to pick up a few products...
